I Hear a Symphony: The Symphony from Haydn to Now

The symphony has been a particularly important type of orchestral work since the latter half of the 1700’s, and symphonies continue to be written to the present day. We will delve into the works of major symphonic composers throughout history, with opportunities to go on optional field trips to hear symphonies by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Mahler and Marsalis. Discounted tickets will be made available for the Philadelphia Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia concerts.
