ALONG THE BRANDYWINE: THE DUPONTS & WYETHS

The DuPont and Wyeth stories flow along the Brandywine! Join us on a guided tour of Hagley Museum, the picturesque property where the DuPont family first settled in America. We’ll see parts of the black powder manufacturing operation that built their fortune, and tour the family home and garden, where we’ll learn how the family lived, worked, and played. You’ll have some time on your own to visit the gift shop or the museum, where the new exhibit, Nation of Inventors, celebrates the American spirit of ingenuity. Next we’ll head to the Brandywine Museum of Art, where we’ll enjoy a boxed lunch at the café and get a guided tour exploring the works and lives of three generations of Wyeths, including the most famous artists—N.C., Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth— as well as other family members.
Cost includes transportation, entrance fees, guided tours, lunch, snacks and tips.
