We’ll view charming early neighborhoods, historic homes along Governor’s Row, and the Capital Complex before disembarking for a guided tour of the State Capitol building, a “Palace of Art” that Theodore Roosevelt called “the handsomest building I ever saw.” Lunch will be on your own in the Capitol cafeteria. We’ll conclude with a guided visit to the John Harris & Simon Cameron Colonial Mansion, which was built in 1763 and was home to John Harris, Jr., one of the founders of Harrisburg.
