BEGINNER courses are specifically designed for the adult who cannot swim.  Progress is made through the Standard American Red Cross Beginner Program of instruction. ADVANCED BEGINNER courses are for adults who have had limited experience in swimming and its associated skills and who desire further expert instruction before venturing into deep water. INTERMEDIATE courses are for adults who are able to maintain themselves in deep water.
